To bring our dream gong fu teaware to life, we traveled to Jingdezhen, the ceramics capital of China. There, we were lucky to stumble on the Li family studio, where a husband and wife team create beautiful porcelain pieces with a modern twist. We knew they could help us create the functional and playful pieces we had always wanted.

All our teaware is handcrafted. Some variation is natural & makes your set one-of-a-kind!

Our Porcelain Gong Fu Tea Set comes with:

1x gaiwan + saucer
• Gaiwan approx. 3.75" in diameter and 3.25" tall with lid (2.25" tall without lid)
• Saucer approx. 4.25" in diameter

1x fairness pitcher
• Approx. 2.75" in diameter with a 0.75" spout, and 2.75" tall

3x cups
• Approx. 2.25" in diameter and 1.5" tall

1x gem tea pet
• Approx. 1.75" long x 1.5" wide x 1.25" tall

Fabulous!

This is my first set and I love it. It makes tea a nice process of brewing and drinking. I added a circular tray from Etsy to catch spills and a mint green thermos pitcher from Ikea to hold hot water. I use a pig shaped tea pet instead of the red gem. I put the gem in with a plant. This set is so playful and modern. I use it about 3 days per week and it inspires me to learn more about tea (ie, bowl of impartiality!) It's great w the duck shit oolong!

So cute and functional

The gaiwan fills to ~200ml, which is roughly the capacity of the faircup. The lid has a good seal, and the pour is pretty smooth. The glaze/paint job on the cups and faircup looks a tad sloppy, but the colour combinations are so cute it makes up for it.

All in all a great set.

Very cute, and well built. Gaiwan holds a little under 200mL, perfect for serving tea for three.
