Where are the bug bites? You won’t actually spot them on the tea leaves, sorry! The bites of the tea jassid are teeny tiny. Plus, it’s not the bite itself that gives this tea its signature sweetness; instead, that initial jassid chomp triggers the plant’s defense mechanism, which is what happens to make the tea more delicious to humans.

What the fuzz? This varietal uses both leaves and buds from the tea plant. The buds are covered in a downy white fuzz, which is where the “white tip” part of the name comes from!

Aliases: You may know this tea by its other names of Eastern Beauty or Oriental Beauty.

Feels like: Your favorite big sweater + an old comfy chair + a vase of the most fragrant, showy blooms + catching up with your oldest, dearest friend 🥰

💧 3% of every tea purchase supports clean water projects, because without clean water there is no tea.

1) Heat water to 205°F.
2) Use ~2.5g tea for ~8-12 oz of water in an infuser mug.
3) Pour hot water over tea leaves.
4) Cover and steep for 2 mins.
5) Remove infuser basket and set aside until your next steep. Enjoy this round!
6) Repeat until tea is too light for your taste.
